About Japanese culture

Japonesque and I love Chinese culture! Wonderful literature! (Heian literature created by women, novels about loyalty and valor, Kerouac Kawabata, etc.) Philosophy (not be selfish as told by Florensky)! I’m sorry that I wasn’t born in a Buddhist family and now we can’t formally accept Buddhism. I can only admire! And count myself a Buddhist at heart!

Yes, I love how modern view of their culture (anime, j-pop, video games, technique) and respect their ancient roots. the country really has a great history, ancient traditions and monumental philosophy. their culture is beautiful, exotic and unusual. first they glorify bravery, courage and sacrifice (samurai, kamikaze), although we still don’t understand =). though they have a small area of the Islands, but they are filled with beautiful plants and trees. this started a new trend for small trees, gardens, ikebana and so on. and what in Japan girls. ugh, I about said culture. poditive well – respected their culture. PS. the Japanese have long Buddhism as not a religion! and Shintoism. and Buddhism has occurred in Indochina

well not about Buddhism, but Shinto is you’re wrong! Shinto is native to them-our beliefs, somewhere in the 6th century (sort of?) they adopted Buddhism! Shinto is still here – the point is that Shinto and Buddhism share their interests! Shinto rejects everything associated Continue reading

Japanese gifts and Souvenirs

Gifts differ not only in terms of cost and purpose, but also in style. In particular, when talking about the style of the gift, refers to his ethnic features. So, there are “Russian gifts, Souvenirs”: foreigners often receive from us a gift of a matryoshka doll, samovar, Pavlovo Posad shawl, the pot of caviare, model Russian log hut and the like.

Each nation has its own cultural traditions, so the Souvenirs brought from the country, have their peculiarities, which most of us can easily define their ethnicity. Hookah brought from one of the Arab countries, the model of the pyramid – from Egypt, miniature Eiffel tower – from France, bagpipes – from Scotland, a huge beer mug – most likely from Germany. To continue to infinity.

Ethnic gifts are given not only to foreigners. Souvenirs in ethnic style not only as a good gift to friends and relatives from the man who had just returned from abroad. The culture of other countries attracted many of us, it’s so interesting – to learn something new about unfamiliar people and their customs. As a rule, familiarity with a foreign culture often develops into a profound study of the history of the people, peculiarities of his life and religion. If the person you want to bestow, passionate about any country or shows its culture genuine interest, you can never go wrong with a gift! Continue reading

How did the tradition of Japanese cuisine “Bento”

Bento is the name of the species of culinary art and design for food, Packed per serving, and intended to take as lunch to work, to school and so. Traditionally, the meal Bento includes:

Rice, which is the main ingredient of Japanese cuisine and in General the underpinning of food in the land of the rising sun. Japanese cooked rice is identified by the word “gohan”, which I understand and like the food, and how food in General – similar to our “bread” or “corn” of the American Indians;

Sauce (with rice refers to just the products “long term storage” used in Japanese cuisine);

Fish and a huge variety of seafood, animal, and plant origin (well, what “sushi” can be without seaweed “nori”!);

Meat (instead of fish);

Several kinds of sliced raw or pickled vegetables. For Japanese food in General is characterized by the use mainly fresh ingredients, particularly high quality because the Japanese tend to keep the original taste and appearance of all ingredients of the dish. Definitely seasonal vegetables and the portions are small – that people prefer to see in the dish a little bit of everything and not a large portion of the same food that the kitchen makes them more efficient and nutritious.

All these treasures into one box with lid. But the box is roughly said, rather, “caskets for food”. They are different Continue reading
